Custom ElevenLabs API Key

If you have your own ElevenLabs account, you can connect its API key to EzVideos. By using your own API key, you pay 0 credits for text-to-speech and can use custom voices saved on your ElevenLabs account.

Prerequisites

  • An ElevenLabs account. Both free and paid plans work. If you don't have one already, sign up at elevenlabs.io/app/sign-up.

  • Enough credits on your ElevenLabs account. After entering your API key, the credits on your ElevenLabs account will be used for text-to-speech, but you will not pay any credits on EzVideos. If you run out of credits on your ElevenLabs account, text-to-speech on EzVideos will fail with an error.

Create & enter API key

After logging into your ElevenLabs dashboard, follow these steps to create and enter the API key:

  1. Go to the Developers section on the bottom left in the sidebar and open API Keys.

  2. Click Create Key. Enable access for Text to Speech and Read access for Voices. You can optionally give it a name, e.g. 'EzVideos' and set a credit usage limit.

  3. Then, click Create Key and copy your newly generated API key to the clipboard.

  4. Now in EzVideos dashboard, go to the Voice settings section. Paste the API key in the ElevenLabs settings section and click Set key. That's it!

Use custom voices

To use custom voices, simply add them to your ElevenLabs account and then click Refresh voices in Voice settings. The voice will now be available in EzVideos.
